Mitä?
Haku on suunnattu sirkuksen, tanssin, teatterin, esitystaiteen, performanssin ja nykynukketeatterin ammattilaisille.
Etsimme keveitä, pienimuotoisia, telttaan soveltuvia, yllättäviä, tosissaan olevia, villejä, pursuilevia, värähteleviä, hersyviä, anarkistisia, tekijöidensä näköisiä esityksiä. Rohkaisemme erityisesti marginaalin tekijöitä hakemaan. Eri vähemmistöt ja taiteilijajoukon moninaisuus pyritään huomioimaan valintoja tehtäessä.
Mikä on SLURPS?
SLURPS on uusi, nomadinen ja taiteilijavetoinen nykyesityksen näyttämö, joka toimii 4 x 8 m toriteltassa. Ohjelmisto valitaan kutsumenettelyllä sekä avoimen haun kautta.
Haluamme luoda SLURPS – tapahtumista yhteisöllisen ympäristön, jossa taide voi löytää uusia yleisöjä menemällä ihmisten luo, sekä tapoja olla ja jäsentyä lempeydessä ja herkkyydessä. Haluamme luoda kevyen rakenteen ja alustan, joka järjestää yhteyksiä eri taiteenalojen yleisöjen ja tekijöiden kesken, sekä mahdollistaa kokeellista, yhteisöllistä kuratointia. SLURPS rakentaa kestäviä ja kevyitä tapoja tuottaa esitystoimintaa sekä luo vaihtoehtoista taloutta käyttäen omaa, nanna-nimistä aikavaluuttaa. SLURPS:ia toteuttaa Esitysteltta-työryhmä.
Millä haen?
Tänä vuonna SLURPS-näyttämöllä on yksi hakukategoria: keikka.
Keikalle voi hakea teoksella, joka voi olla jossain jo aiemmin esitetty, ensi-ilta tai esitysluonnos. Hakea voit sooloesityksellä tai maksimissaan neljän henkilön työryhmänä. Esityksen kesto voi olla noin 20-45 minuuttia. Telttanäyttämön ulkopuolella kestolliset esitykset, pelit ja leikit ovat myös mahdollisia.
Jos olet esiintynyt aikaisimmissa tapahtumissa, voit hakea mukaan SLURPS:iin, mutta eri teoksella.
Palkkiot
Palkkio voidaan maksaa vaihtoehtoisesti joko euroina (€) tai nannana (Ø):
– Nanna on uusi kokeellinen aikavaluutta, jota voi käyttää vastavuoroisiin palveluksiin valuutan haltijoiden kanssa. Yksi esiintyminen SLURPS-näyttämöllä vastaa 3h kahden (yht. 6h) Esitysteltta-työryhmän jäsenen aikaa. Nanna-aikavaluuttaa on käytetty lunastamaan esimerkiksi tukea apurahahakemuksen kirjoittamiseen ja budjetointiin.
– Euroissa maksetaan Teatterialan työehtosopimuksen mukainen esityskorvaus.
– Näyttämö ei maksa matka- tai majoituskuluja.
Teltan tekninen info
– Teltta on 4 x 8 m vaaleanpunainen toriteltta, jossa on irroitettavat seinät (pitkän sivun seinissä on ikkunat). Esitykset voivat sijoittua teltan sisään, ympärille tai edustalle. Alustana toimii paikasta riippuen hiekkakenttä, nurmikko tai messumatto (paikka tarkentuu myöhemmin). Teltassa tai sen ulkopuolella ei ole kiinteää katsomoa. – Tarjoamme sähkön, perus äänitekniikan (PA, äänipöytä ja 2 x mikrofonia) ja teknikon / miksaajan esitysten käyttöön.
– Ei erillistä valaistusta. Tapahtuma-aikaan ulkona tulee olemaan valoisaa. Telttaa ei ole mahdollista pimentää. – Esitysten tulee olla nopeasti ja helposti rakennettavissa ja purettavissa. Telttanäyttämön ulkopuolella myös kestolliset esitykset ovat mahdollisia. – Yleisömäärää ei ole rajattu. Teltan sisään mahtuu n. 30 hlö.

SLURPS – A new stage for contemporary art will be parked in Helsinki on Saturday, September 6th.
What?
The Open Call is aimed at circus, dance, theater, live art, performance and contemporary puppet theater professionals.
We are looking for light, small-scale, suitable for a tent, surprising, serious, wild, lively, effusive, vibrating and anarchic performances. We especially encourage marginal artists to apply. Different minorities and the diversity of the lineup are taken into account when making choices.
What is SLURPS?
SLURPS is a new, mobile stage for contemporary art in a 4 x 8 m square tent. The programme is selected through an invitation procedure and an open call.
We want to create a communal environment where art can find new audiences as well as ways to exist and be grounded in gentleness and sensitivity. We want to create a light structure and a platform that facilitates connections between audiences and makers from different fields of art, at the same time enabling experimental, communal curatorial processes. SLURPS builds sustainable and light production methods for the art field and creates an alternative economy by using its own time currency called luxusnams. SLURPS is made possible by the Esitysteltta working group.
What can I propose?
SLURPS stage has one application categorie: gig.
For a gig, you can apply with a work that has been performed before, or with a new work or a performance sketch. You can apply either with a solo performance or as a working group of maximum 4 persons. The duration of the work can be 20-45 minutes. Durational performances and games are also possible outside the tent.
If you have performed at our previous events, you can apply to SLURPS, but with a different work.
Fees for artists
The fees can be paid either with euros (€) or luxusnams (Ø):
– Luxusnams are a new experimental time bank currency that can be used for reciprocal services with currency holders. One person performing on SLURPS stage equals 3h of two Esitysteltta working group member’s time (in total 6h). Last year, luxusnams time currency was used to redeem, for example, collegial support for writing a grant application and budgeting.
– In euros, we follow the performance fee assigned in the collective labour agreement of the field of theatre (TeaTES).
-This year the stage will not pay travel or accommodations costs.
Technical info of the tent
– The tent is a 4 x 8 m pink market tent with removable walls (the long side walls have windows). The performance can take place in, in front of or around the tent. Depending on the location, the platform can be sand, grass or a fair carpet (more details will be given later). There is no fixed audience stand.
– We provide electricity, basic sound system (PA, sound desk and 2 x microphones) and a technician/mixer for performances
– No separate lighting. It will be bright outside during the event. It is not possible to darken the tent
– The build up and build down of the shows should be light. Durational performances outside the tent stage are also possible.
– The audience is not limited. The tent can accommodate approx. 30 people
